It can be hard to make a packing list – that’s why I’m here to help! I’ve compiled a list of the travel essentials I make sure to bring with me wherever I go.

Essentials In the Air
It would be impossible for me to fly without a comfortable neck pillow! I like this one because it has a snapping feature to make sure it stays in place – and it’s super comfortable! The eye mask and ear plugs are a nice bonus too.
This travel wallet is the perfect size to hold your passport, credit card, boarding passes, and even your phone! Having all these things handy is critical when going through any airport. I’ve been using this travel wallet for nearly a decade – and it’s still going strong!
I won’t be able to fly without them again! Until I got noise-canceling headphones, I never realized how much the noise disrupted my ability to rest. I use AirPods, but if you’re not an Apple fan there are plenty of other options out there!
Essentials On the Go
I bought this purse for my trip to London and Paris and I absolutely fell in love! It has locking mechanisms to prevent pick pocketing, it’s waterproof, and it has a convenient LED light inside to help you find things in the dark. There are also tons of other travel purses out there if this one doesn’t suit your needs.
Now hear me out on this one – walking around all day is tiring, and you don’t want your blood sugar to get low and ruin your day! Just pop one of these in your water bottle and it’ll help you make it to your next meal! Many brands produce a similar product, I enjoy propel for the flavor, and the fact that it is in powdered form rather than a liquid.
These days, we use our phones for everything. Don’t let yourself get stranded when it dies! It’s a horrible feeling to want to take some photos but you need to ration your battery power. Make sure you check that any portable charger you buy is compatible with your phone.
Essentials At Rest
You never know what the pillow situation will be like if you stay in a low-budget hotel. That’s why I always bring my inflatable pillow just in case!
Don’t just throw your toothbrush in your bag! Keeping it covered will keep it clean, and keep the bristles in shape longer.
I adore my kindle! The paper-like screen holds up well in the sunlight so you can read anywhere, and the battery life is incredible. Bonus – you may be able to download e-books for free from your library!
Bonus!
Organize your packing! I use bags to help me organize my backpack when I travel. By separating the liquids, chargers, medication, etc., finding what I need is so much easier. I make sure to use waterproof bags to contain the liquids, just in case!
